Backbending & Inversions Masterclass with Laura Humphreys

Learn the tools needed to deepen your understanding & integration of backbending in your yoga asana practice. In this workshop, Laura will articulate the anatomy & biomechanics of safe backbending, guide you through mobility drills & conditioning for upper back, shoulders, glutes & hamstrings, as well as the effects of backbending on your energetic body & nervous system.

You’ll move into some fun variations & transitions, prop & partner-based adjustments & even play with some advanced shapes, learning how to apply these foundational skills to your regular practice. Suitable for all students looking to deepen their knowledge & build safe foundations for their practice.

Self-Care Sunday

Self-Care Sunday is a monthly event to ground your mind and body before the new week begins.

Immerse yourself in 1.5 hours of blissful yoga flow, restorative stretches, a guided meditation, and savasana designed to leave you feeling rested and calm.

When so much of our daily life leaves us feeling burnt out, anxious and overwhelmed, these self-care sessions provide a soft place to slow down and be present, without any other distractions. Here, you can unwind with good intentions, self-compassion, and a focus on restoring the emotional, physical and energetic body.

All the mats and props you'll need are provided, however you're welcome to bring your own mat if you prefer. Eye masks/pillows are also highly recommended for your meditation and savasana. Beyond that, you can leave everything else - your phone, to-do list, worries, guilt - at home.

We look forward to honouring your wellbeing with a beautifully mindful evening. Self-Care Sunday will take place on the first Sunday of each month.
